Introduction

i am working as creative producers within E6 advertising company, i will do research on current campaigns for a haribos in preparation for working on an account for a new campaign for that product.

TV Advert

When analysing the advertising for haribo, I started off looking at a television advert.
The narrative of the advert is about a young boy and young girl who like each other and they both have fantastics
Did the story in your opinion help to make the advert effective or not? Story made sence but wasn’t effective to be able to sell as many of the products

I then looked at what camera angles were used in the advert and why they chose those shots.  The adverts started with a wide shot to to see the surrounding to try and see what the story is about and where it is all set. They used along shot for both characters and as the camera switch between then the show would get closer and closer
They also used a product shot to show people what the product is sand what it looks like for when they see it in the shops.

I also noticed how the mis-en-scene was used to further help to sell the product.  Mise-en-scene (What colours, sets and props are used? Why?)normal colours in everyday life

The sounds and music used in the advert was birds in the air they have use the ride noices from the fairground. Girl over takes and makes a noice when she has one of the tangfastics

I think it was good/bad and helped the overall feel of the advert etc I think that the story did not hel with seling the product

The advertising techniques used in the advert was eye candythis was easily identified as when the boy seen the girl who thought wow she beautiful and they used inject drama by making a dramatic sceen when the girl and boy lik each other

I think overall the advert was effective/not effective because was not effective as it wasn’t about haribo as they only eat a sweet but nothing saying anything about it

they have lots of props to make it seem like they are at a fun fair with his family

they have alot of close up and long shots for the camera shots

Radio Advert

I then had to analyse a radio advert to see if there were any similarities in the styles of advertising that haribo use.
The style of the radio advert was a combination of, humour And  fiction Because they make the kids role play as the law
The overall message of the advert was to make sure haribo was for everyone and just for kids and this was because in the advert they shows kids and adults eating them
The types of voices used in the advert were young and older voices they chose these types of voices because it makes haribo look like its for everyone.

(could not find the radio so i did this one which is use in the radio advert)
The tone of language in the advert was angry and loud as this blended in with the style of the advert because they was investigating who eaten all the haribo eggs
There was a tag line/slogan in the advert and this was happy world of haribos And it was mentioned once many times because to make you buy more
The product name itself was mentioned once  many times because we already know what they are.
The contact details were/were not mentioned because there is no contact details
The music used in the advert was a little at the end this was in my opinion effective

The main purpose of the advert was to promote or just to further get the brand name recognised.
Overall I think the advert was effective/not effective on the target audience I think the advert was effective because it makes people laugh as an older guy is scared of a little girl

After analysing television and radio adverts for haribo I then looked at the style of advertising they use in magazine and newspaper adverts.
I started looking at the writing in the advert to see what it was saying and in this case it is formal And I feel that it in different fonts
The graphics or images in the advert make us think about Halloween and helps us to make sense of the story or make us relate to the characters in the advert or they make us concentrate on the product haribo
The brand is not shown because they put the name and I think it is important because it does not over kill it
The characters in the ad are there because they want to make there own character I think they chose the characters because its been there since the company started and they are a good selling point because it’s a bear
The story of the advert suggest to me that its sweets for Halloween
Although I am unsure of where the advert was placed I feel that it would be best placed in a magazine such as kerang because the intended target audience would also look at and read magazines like that.
The intended target audience for the advert is any age and any sex any other info you think is relevant and the advert and I feel this because
The advertising techniques used in the advert were create a character and peer proval you can tell because they create a character which is the bear its peer proval about Halloween
Overall I think the advert was effective because in my opinion is if you don’t have haribos you cant celebrate Halloween properly  I feel it could have been better if they had contact details because we don’t know how to get any of them.

Summary

when I'm considering all the adverts iv been looking at there are a few similarities and this is on all of the adverts they always show the product unless its the radio advert they wont show it but they do mention it a couple of times.

they all have the same slogan in the print, radio and tv advert
kids and grown ups love it so the happy world of haribo.

they also have differences like in the print advert they do not use real people but a character they have created this is an advertising  technique which is called create a character but in the tv advert they use the same bear but also use real people.

in the print advert they use the same colours to contrast the product they are selling and all of the adverts are effective as they are catchy they have created a character and they do want you to go out to the shop and get some haribos.

the tv advert is the same as advert as the radio advert

if i was to create my own haribo radio advert i would mention the product a few more times as they only mentioned it once in the whole advert.
